Chuck + Lola (SG-CC)
Every morning from the day Chuck met his future wife, Lola, he made her breakfast. Before he shut that big heavy door behind him and headed to the factory they sat together and shared the meal he’d made. Nothing particularly fancy. A plate of sliced fruit one morning. Sausages, with mushrooms and spinach, the next. Every day, for over 46 years. Following Chuck’s peaceful death, aged 79, Katie didn’t eat much breakfast anymore. Then ten weeks later she passed away too. Dying probably, from a broken heart. And maybe an empty stomach.
